Jon Abel        DVR 107   VTEMT-I

Jon began his service with DVR back in 2002.  As the Chief of the East Dover Fire Department, Jon decided that to put his EMS skills and EMT-B certification to use, he needed to affiliate with an ambulance service.  Jon joined DVR and has been a very active member since.  Jon completed and received his EMT-I certification in June of 2005.  Jon has become a "call magnet" since he started.  Jon used to team with EMT Johnson on the Sunday night shift and the 2 were guaranteed a call, and sometimes multiple calls on that night shift!  Since then, the 2 have broken up their shift and the Sunday night shift has not been as busy.  However, several members have found that no matter who Jon is on with, something will happen, and does not have to follow the norm of others calls.  Jon lives in East Dover with his wife Annette and children.
