1991 East Dover Fire- The morning of January 12, 1991 is one that members of DVR will remember for a long time. A house occupied by 17 weekend guests catches fire, injuring 14 and sending all 14 to the hospital with a large range of injuries. Oh, did we mention it was in the middle of a serious snow/ice storm??

Ambulance Crash - Rt. 9 West- The call every member of DVR does not want to hear...."The tone is for the Deerfield Valley Rescue, respond to Rt. 9 in the area of Lind's corner for a 10-50I, involving an ambulance" For those of you that don't remember 10-codes, 10-50I means Motor vehicle accident with injury. Somerset Helicopter Rescue- Helicopters are now commonly called for sick and injured patients. However back in September of 1980, the DVR crew was not so fortunate to have the system we have in place today. The call comes in for an injured logger, deep in the woods in the Somerset/Glastenbury area. Read on to see what happened.....
Senior skip day accident- A good example of how alcohol, young drivers and skipping school does not mix. This accident occured somewhere around 1985-87. 3 teenagers from Bennington were out on senior skip day and had attended a beer party. They then tried to drive resulting in this accident that occured in front of the former Vermont National Bank, now the Chittenden Bank on East Main street.
