Merrill Mundell

Merrill "Huck" Mundell    DVR 101    EMT-I

Huck began with service with DVR back in 1974, making him 1 of 2 remaining founding members.  Since that time, Huck has served in just about every position here at DVR.  Those positions include President, Vice-President, Secretary and Squad Leader.  Huck currently serves as a trustee on the Board of Directors as well as DVR's representative to Vermont Ambulance District #12, of which he is also the Treasurer.  Huck has also served as an Explorer Post leader for the Boy Scouts of America.  Huck is self employed as a Civil Engineer (P.E.) where he concentrates on mostly environmental projects, and is also a registered Land Surveyor.  Hailing originally from the South Newfane area, Huck lives in Wilmington with his wife Sally.  Huck and Sally have 2 grown children, Walter and Eric who are both past members of DVR, with Eric having the distinction of at one time becoming the youngest ECA in the State of Vermont.  As well as being a member of DVR, Huck has served his community in other ways.  He is a former member of the Wilmington Planning Commission as well as a former member of the Wilmington Select board, and currently serves on the Twin Valley School Facilities Committee.  Huck was presented his 30th year service award on October 30th at DVR's 30th Anniversary celebration in 2004.
